나는 당근마켓 속 식물의 모습을 떠올리며, 곧은 자세로 정면을 응시하게 하고, 식물의 퍼스널 컬러를 골라 배경색으로 깔고, 무늬가 고른 이파리를 내세우고, 좌우 대칭에 맞춰 반듯한 모습을 그려낸다. 우리는 가장 예뻐 보이는 각도와 구도에서 카메라의 초점을 맞추고, 셀카를 찍고, 보정을 한 사진으로 완성한다. 잘 가꾸고 편집한 사진을 올리고 SNS 피드를 넘기다보면 비슷한 느낌과 구도, 연출과 설정의 사진들이 연달아 반복된다. 잘 찍어 보정한 뒤 필터효과를 입혀 완성된 사진은, 고유의 모습은 희미하지만 낯익은 아름다움을 하고 있다. 식물의 미감을 돋보이게 할 여러 장치를 설정하여, 한 화면 안에 잘 꾸며낸 모습을 그려낸다. 미감이 돋보이는 각도, 조화로운 색, 가꿔진 모습, 색감을 가미한 후보정을 통해, 최상위의 아름다움을 끌어낸 이미지를 만든다.

I browse through the plant category on Daagn Market. I see posts with titles like "Vivid Patterns," "Uncommon Domestic Species," and "Well-shaped." With the rise of the term "plantterie," which refers to using plants for interior decoration, there are quite a few posts on Dangn Market selling plants suitable for interior accessories. The plants that are listed on Dangn Market for sale seem to have been carefully photographed, not just snapped randomly. They are neatly arranged, with their leaves positioned to show their patterns clearly, and any blemishes are covered up as much as possible. It looks like they have been meticulously staged, with their backgrounds and lighting well-prepared, just like taking an ID photo with a clean-cut hairstyle, slightly raised chin, and gently lifted corners of the mouth.

In my work, before exploring the story and meaning, I create images that captivate the viewer's aesthetic appreciation, just like a flower's fragrance attracting bees.
